Artist Statement
There are mornings when I wake up with a color in my head. It follows me everywhere, shaping my mood, demanding my attention, until I finally release it onto a canvas. Color is more than a visual language for me—it is emotion, memory, and energy. It is how I make sense of what cannot always be put into words.
Life is unpredictable. It moves without regard for our plans, our schedules, or our desire for certainty. There are beautiful days and difficult days, moments of clarity and moments of chaos. Yet so much of our lives are spent chasing an ever-shifting idea of perfection, measuring ourselves against standards that were never truly ours to begin with. We are told to be better, stronger, smarter, faster, and when we finally reach the goal, the finish line moves again. I believe something precious is lost in that pursuit. I mourn all that has never been created because someone was too afraid to fail.
My work is a rejection of that fear and an act of permission—to take up space, feel deeply, be imperfect, and create anyway. Through bold color, sweeping movement, and layered mark-making, I create immersive spaces that invite viewers to step inside and take a deeper look. My studio is a place where mistakes are welcome, messes become meaning, and perfection has no authority. Each piece is raw, honest, and unapologetically human: an invitation to embrace the beautiful chaos of being alive, to risk, to feel, to create, and to bring more color into a world that desperately needs it.
